SkyWatch: The Sun Also Rises

An early morning sunrise shot of Jeddah taken from my rooftop as the sun peeks through the looming mountains in the distance creating a pink tinged sky.

I apologize for my absence from the blogging world these past few months. I wasn't much in the mood after my mother's death in July. I'm back in Jeddah now and hope that I can now resume posting daily from Saudi Arabia for your enjoyment.

To visit MORE friendly skies around the world, fly on over to SKYWATCH where you’ll find beautiful skies posted by bloggers all over the world.

Thanks, Gaelyn! What a difference for me living here to be able to go to my rooftop and have a view of the city. We were on the first floor before and it felt almost claustrophobic.

Hi Judy - I bought a new camera recently, not an SLR though, but I am trying to play with the settings and hopefully get better pics. Great to hear from you!

Thanks, Dianne - It was good to spend time with my family - I really needed it. I'm looking forward to the heat subsiding and enjoying some cooler weather here in Jeddah.

I lived on the top floor as well and despite the freedom and scene I had nightmares of a fire starting and me having no where to go.
