Saudi Arabia: Shepherd's Tents

In rural areas, it is common to see Bedouin tents which house shepherds who mind their charges of sheep, goats, or camels.

Nice composition. The starkness of the terrain has a breathtaking quality.

White? No more black goat hair tents?

Yes, Dina - there are still many black tents out there too!

Hi Jerry - I have seen bales of hay around camel depots, and old big bathtubs that hold water. For the most part, I don't think animals can live off nature around Jeddah.

Thanks, William - Much of the area around Jeddah reminds me of the Arizona Sonoran desert where I grew up, but Arizona's desert seems to have more vegetation.
