Our World: Men at Prayer in Jeddah

The dedication and discipline of Muslims in their faith is awe inspiring to see. Muslims pray five times every day and many go to a mosque that many times per day to perform the prayers.  Praying together with others is preferred but not required.

A bit less conventional than a mosque, but this spot serves its purpose.

What dedication! Do the women also pray as often?

Hi William - These men are actually praying in the exterior section of a mosque. Sometimes mosques are so full that it overflows to the exterior.

Hi Lady Fi - Yes, women also pray five times daily. However most women pray at home since they take care of the children.
