The souk offers all sorts of things to buy - like clothing for men, women, and children. Shown in the first photo are house dresses commonly worn by women at home here.
You can also find all kinds of accessories, like shoes, purses, and jewelry, and hats, underwear, and jackets.

Hi Margaret - You have to understand that women in this country wear abayas over their clothing when outside the home. The dresses in this post would be worn at home and not in public - and would be totally appropriate to entertain female visitors in the home.
