The Real Reason Why I Cannot Drive in Saudi Arabia
This is the video I made for the Women's Driving Campaign movement. Some people might be shocked at my use - twice - of the "P" word. But basically it is the real reason why I am denied the right to drive here in this country.
Hi William - Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that prohibits women from driving, so obviously it is not an Islamic related rule, like many men here claim that it is.

It's not as if the same restriction applies in places like Jordan, so the Saudi policy is ridiculous. You're right about what it really comes down to.
It is a stupid policy and as someone with a functioning 'p', I know it doesn't really make me a better driver.

Of course, seeing the shenanigans my daughters friends sometimes video on your streets, I'm often thinking : NOBODY should drive in Jeddah! Lol!
