Colorful Nights

The city of Jeddah, like many cities, comes alive at night with all the neon lights which outline buildings and announce the locations of many thriving businesses.

What a change from the dusty and often drab surroundings I see during the daylight hours.

The signage everywhere makes me wish I could read Arabic!

  1. Hi Susie
Thanks for the visit, it was nice to see you in my comment moderation! It has been a while since I visited Jeddah on your blog, thanks for the reminder to come over!
Darkness covers a world of unsightliness, sometimes, and the artistic lights make everything seem different.
    Is Arabic read left-to-right?

    1. No, Dimple - Arabic is read from right to left. It still looks like beautiful art to me and I can't imagine that it actually says something!

  2. Interesting shots. Not at all what we think about when we think Saudi Arabia.
