Jeddah Surprise: Castle

This villa is unusual for a couple of reasons.  It is surrounded by dense foliage, which in this desert kingdom is a rarity.  The castle style of the villa is also unusual.  Even the palaces I have seen here in Jeddah are not built in the castle style.

    It does seem very contrary to the architectural style you expect, even what little we see of it.
