Outside buildings here in Jeddah, it is not unusual to see furniture strategically placed for seating. Generally men will sit here in the evenings, drinking tea and visiting.
Hi William - The elevated wooden frame is very traditional Saudi style seating. Usually they are elevated higher than this one here and the seat itself is very deep. There is also the traditional Bedouin style tent seating which consists of flat cushions directly on the floor without being elevated.
I like the furniture style!

ReplyDeleteYou and William both have seating arrangements today but with quite a contrast in styles.
