The graffiti on the side of this building was originally painted in February of 2014 for Jeddah Art Week. This "calligraffiti" (the term coined for the combination of Arabic calligrahy and graffiti) is the creation of artist eL Seed, whose name is a take on "El Cid," meaning the lord or master.
The below photo was taken in 2014, when the calligraffiti was freshly done. As you can see, the harsh elements of Jeddah's climate have severely faded the red and pink paint.
