Who is that handsome man?
ReplyDeleteThese are super cute Susie! I love the minimalist type cartoon plus its very representative of the Arabs :)
ReplyDelete...I'm not sure that I would want to have a mugshot on my mug!
ReplyDeleteLove those cups but the teapots always catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I really like the incense burners.
ReplyDeleteI love those cups!
ReplyDeleteI remember dallahs at an event here.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I had thought those were coffee pots!! But no reason....just an assumption. Now I know!
ReplyDeleteGreat teacup art, and I love the ornateness of those dallahs.
ReplyDeleteJudithK - They are used for either coffee or tea actually. Most often for the gahwha, the Arabic coffee with cardamom served in very small cups.
ReplyDeleteThe teapots are my favourite. Happy Monday. I am at #17 on the linky
ReplyDeleteMuch💜love
Susie - the art is very attractive. Are they meant primarily for tourists, or would you find such artwork on the cups in an Arab home? Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteThank you for explaining....I do love the shape of the pots, and would also very much like to try the coffee with cardamon. Do you make it ever? I would like to know the proportions and method!! Well, I'm far away, and not likely to be there to try it out at my age, so am left to my own devices. Though you never know, I might get there some day.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie - Expats love picking up this type of thing to take back home with them, but I've also seen items like this with Saudi figures on them in Saudi homes as well.
