Fascinating to see that shops like this still exist in Jeddah. One of my 'fetishes' is to go around stationery shops, and there was one in Jeddah I used to visit often (when I lived there in the 1970s), simply for the pleasure of walking around the massive stock, particularly the upstairs area where there were several long narrow aisles with the items lining upto the very top shelves, accessed by a ladder, but the assistant could always locate what you wanted very quickly so it certainly wasn't random. I ended up buying quite a lot of stuff I really had very little need for ;)
