For a city of 4 million people, Jeddah does not have many public parks for outdoor recreational activities. However in recent years, an effort has been made to correct that. This beautiful park with lush palm trees, grass fields, a walking track, seating areas and all important shade is located next door to IMC - International Medical Center. Later in the day when the sun is not so hot, the park is filled with men relaxing, women walking laps, and children at play.

A nice picture! I love the action "Skywatch Friday", because you can go to other countries.
Is it hard for you to live in Saudi Arabia?
Best wishes from Germany

So pretty with all those palm trees.
This does look pleasant. The pillars to the left side catch my eye.
Hi Erdbeertörtchen - The first couple of years were more difficult because the culture is so very different and takes some getting used to. The biggest issues for me are the strict gender segregation and mobility problems. I have had transportation issues because women cannot drive here and my husband didn't want me taking a taxi by myself. But the past few years with the introduction of car service companies, like Uber and Careem, have definitely improved the transportation problems for women here. My husband and I rarely go to gatherings or events where there is gender segregation any more, so that problem is reduced now too. I actually enjoy my time in Saudi Arabia and am fortunate that I feel I have a very good life here. It is still always very interesting and fascinating to me and full of surprises.
I like all the modern architecture you've been showing us lately. This park looks so pleasant with the shading palm trees.
