The king's photo appears everywhere here in Saudi Arabia. Many businesses display enormous photos of the royals on the sides of their buildings to show their loyalty and respect. It's common to see big rigs like this one with a tribute to the king visible on it as well.

It's not as if the king will ever pass by and notice.
I had always assumed that human imagery was forbidden in Islam, but I guess I am wrong.
Hi Jerry - Only images of women's faces seem to be the problem here (and it's inconsistent at best), but any image of a living being in its entirety also seems to be a problem here as well. That's why sculptures here that feature animals (like camels and horses) are always divided up into several separate pieces, as if that makes it better in whose ever eyes... I personally don't get it.
