Jeddah's ambling coastline along the Red Sea has undergone a major facelift recently with the addition of family friendly leisure attractions. There are several new beach areas that allow swimming and many large lovely rest areas to sit and enjoy the breezes off the Red Sea. This project is being completed in phases and features beautiful paths for walking, biking, or skateboarding. There is something for everyone. Is that the Kempinski Hotel taking shape in the distance? And what's the leftmost building in the picture? I don't remember it being there when I left in 2014.
Hi William - It is quite a welcome addition to the Jeddah Corniche area. The people of Jeddah are loving it too. It's nice for us to have a great place to walk along the Red Sea.
Hi Unknown - I'm really not sure if that's the Kempinski Hotel in the background or not. Looking at its location on the map compared to where I was when I took the photo, it is possible.
