The Illuminated Globe is one of my favorite pieces of public art that graces the streets of Jeddah. It is also one of the largest works of art in the city. Spanish architect Julio Lafuente was the designer of this amazing sculpture. It is difficult to get a good picture of the globe at night since it is located on a busy roundabout near Roshan Mall. When I saw the base lit up with white lights, I tried my best to get a good shot from the moving car I was in. I rather like the effect.
