Jeddah is overrun with mega malls, and new ones are being built all the time. Many of them have entertainment centers where children can enjoy amusement park rides. Most malls have many of the same shops and chains see at your local mall, wherever you may live. Weekends are jam packed with families, as you can imagine.

It looks similar to a US mall, is there any unusual feature (other than prayer closings)?
Hi Jerry - Well, many have actual separate prayer rooms for men and women, or an open carpeted area for men to pray. I've also never really seen the carnival rides/entertainment areas in the US at any of the malls I've been to. There are shops that cater to women's products that have signs posted saying "Families Only," meaning single men are not allowed in. Other than those things, the malls are pretty similar to the US.
Your statement about prayer rooms, reminds me that at least on mall in NJ used to have an active Catholic church on the grounds.
The architecture's similar to the ones here.
I guess malls are same everywhere. The scale and facilities may vary...but they all look similar!
