Are those outfits featured in the window what is worn under that black-clading?

I would have thought that they would have more black cloth on display.

What a difference in attire.

Hi Marcia - These dresses would be worn to gender segregated weddings, but getting to and from the weddings where she would be visible in public, abayas would be worn over the dresses.

Hi Jerry - There is plenty of black fabric in Saudi Arabia still! Many women are rather conservative.

Hi William - Yes, it's a stark difference!

What a clash in clothing sytles! Who would be allowed to wear these dresses?

Hi Lady Fi - Women can wear whatever they wish in private settings, but when out in public, abayas must be worn over whatever clothing is underneath. These dresses would never be worn by Saudi women at mixed gender gatherings, and some women are ultra conservative and would never dream of wearing this type of revealing dress even at a women's only event.
