Saudi Arabia - Wash Me Please!

As you can imagine, dust is a never ending problem here in Saudi Arabia.  The lack of rain, dryness, and lack of vegetation all contribute to make dust a vicious cycle that needs constant attention.  It's really hard to keep up with it.

But on the other hand, on the rare occasion when it does rain here in Jeddah, the streets become rivers, flooding and crippling the city.  There is no drainage system, nowhere for the rainwater to go.

The dust would be formidable- even on days without a sandstorm, there are still no doubt particles of sand in the air, and they add up.

Desert environments have that similarity here. A ravine might be dry most of the time, but when a rainstorm happens, you don't want to be in one.

Not the best way to wash off the dust.
